What Should I Expect During a Comprehensive Eye Exam at Family Eye Care?
During a comprehensive exam, Dr. Bomse will check your eyes for disease, test how well your eyes work together and assess the eyes as indicators of your overall health.
The exam will include tested and procedures that examine and evaluate the health of your eyes and the quality of your vision. The tests range from simple ones, like reading an eye chart, to complex tests, such as using high-powered lenses to evaluate the tissues inside your eyes.
Some conditions Dr. Bomse can detect are glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, diabetes, hypertension, carotid occlusive disease, metastatic disease, auto-immune diseases and many more.
Early detection is essential for slowing many diseases and preventing vision loss. Many sight-threatening conditions do not have noticeable symptoms until a lot of damage has occurred.
